SYNDROME
The story tells of Anna Manni, a
Roman police woman, (Asia Argento) who is on assignment in Florence to
exchange some information with the law authorities regarding a serial killer.
This psychopath tortures, rapes and murders his female victims by blowing
their heads off with a shotgun at the point of his sexual orgasm. Anna
falls victim to the bizarre Stendhal illness and finds herself the target
of the brutal manic. Beautifully filmed at locations in Rome, Florence
and Viterbo by Fellini’s photographer Guiseppe Rotunno. Special visual
effects are provided by Argento veteran Sergio Stivalette and composer
Enio Morricone returns to provide the films music score. Directed by
Dario Argento. (1996-Italy)
A much more superior version of this
film then the porly mastered disc that is sold by Troma.
