SPIDER
LABYRINTH
A.k.a. IL NEDO DEL RAGNO. Professor Alan Whitmore is sent to
Budapest to search for fellow professor and researcher
Leo Roth. Roth has just discovered the final clues to a lost
religion which numerous scholars have been researching. When
he arrives, he finds Roth a paranoid and terrified mess. Roth
gives Alan a group of photos and papers relating to the discovery,
and tells him to return later in the evening. When he returns
he discovers Roth's dead body hanging in a giant cobweb. Alan
begins to investigate the mystery surrounding the event and
discovers a horrifying creature in the shape of a woman with
flaming red hair and bulging eyes. Starring Roland Wybenga,
Paola Rinaldi, Marghareta Von Krauss and William Berger. Directed
by Gianfranco Giangni. "The best supernatural oriented
Italian horror film since Argento's INFERNO, a film whose intriguing
stylistic bravura stands with the best of Bava, Avati, Fulci
and Freda, in the higher echelon of Italian shock cinema."-EYEBALL
