director Takashi Miike's unnerving horror film about a widowed TV producer
who auditions prospective wives. In his quest, one woman particularly stands
out, a beautiful ex-dancer. The man cannot believe his good fortune, until
he starts looking more closely at his would-be bride: her backround details
don't quite check out, she has a number of ugly scars on her legs, and
he learns that people in her life have a habit of disappearing. When he
discovers a man tied up in her living room with his tongue and feet hacked
off, he decides that she may not be the woman of his dreams. |
